Micro soccer is our program for divisions 7, 6B, and 6A (primarily K thru 2nd grade with some pre- K and some 3rd graders). The age groups are as follows:

  •    Division 6A born between Aug. 1, 2003 - July 31, 2004
  •    Division 6B born between Aug. 1, 2004 - July 31, 2005
  •    Division 7 born between Aug. 1, 2005 - Dec. 31, 2006

We play at Barley Sheaf on Saturday mornings. The time schedule as follows:

 Saturdays - starting March 24, 2012

  •    8:30 am - 10:00 am - Three of the groups will play
  •   10:30 am - 12:00 am - the other three groups will play

Coaches - Head coaches will be contacted by the second week of March.

Parents - Your coach will contact you approximately 7 to 10 days prior to opening day to let you know which team your son or daughter is on. On the first day, players will receive a colored uniform shirt from their coach. Players are required to wear shin guards with socks over the shin guards. Players can wear either soccer cleats or sneakers.

Each week, the players will practice with their team for 45 minutes and play a game against another team for 45 minutes. The games are 3 vs.3 in division 7,and typically 4 vs 4 in division 6B, and 4 vs. 4 or 5 vs. 5 in Division 6A, depending on the number of players on each team. The low number of players on the field during the game helps to limit the amount of chaos, and it gives all the players a better chance to get very involved when they are on the field.

Soccer Cleats vs Baseball Cleats

Soccer cleats do not have a cleat on the front toe of the cleat. This is important in that if a child raises their foot to kick a ball, there is no front toe cleat that might hurt another child.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S CLEATS!!!
