"YOUR CLUB FOR LIFE!"
That is how the GFSC Board described our merger with the Hunterdon Soccer Club for players over the age of 19. HSC was the adult club in the area that provided soccer players a venue when they were too old for affiliation with the various youth soccer leagues under the New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. "In theory, now you can start with GFSC at age 5 in recreation, and go to age 65 - and beyond with our Adult Division," said Gary Hazard, President of GFSC.
The Merger now creates GFSC soccer divisions for recreation teams ages 5-18; Small Sided Travel ages 8-10; and, Full Sided Travel ages 11-18; and adult ages 19 to as long as you can stand up and kick. The groups are generally over ages 20, 30 , 40 , and 48 years young.
HSC's former president, Paul Leifer, is now a member of the Board of Directors of GFSC and in charge of the Adult Division. He can be reached for further information and registration at pleifer@aol.com.

In the excitement of a game, sometimes we lose sight of why our children participate in sports in the first place: to be with friends and develop in body, mind, and spirit. We see young referees become discouraged and quit when parents or coaches yell at them. We see confusion when children are directed from the parent-side of the field in spite of able coaching from the other side.

GFSC Clover Hill Soccer Complex Update on 1/13/10
The Raritan Township Committee Members, Administration, Public Works Department all attended the Ground Breaking ceremony in mid-October 2009, and the project as been buzzing along ever since.
Construction has been going well ever since and after a what seemed like a long winter break, workers returned to Clover Hill this week to finish up plumbing and electric, with grading to start on field #2 at the end of January.
Earlier, the contractors completed the first part of the parking lot completed the drainage basin. Drive by..pull in and take a look!
"Stop by and take a look! Pull into the driveway. It’s GFSC’s property!" said Gary Hazard, GFSC President, in an open invitation to the thousand plus families that make up our Club. The property is located at the corner of Old York and Clover Hill Roads in Raritan Township.
The Greater Flemington Soccer Club is the largest independent soccer club in Central New Jersey. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, it promotes and fosters the game of soccer to boys and girls ages 5 to 19 primarily residing in Flemington Borough and Raritan Township.

Important Notice Regarding Parking at Lenape Park Fields
Please note and tell your opponents that parking along the curb is prohibited at Lenape Park. We have been advised that the Raritan Township Police Department will ticket cars and have them towed if parked along the curb. Please arrive early and try to car-pool when possible.
